Sushila has been practicing for 29 years and is a member of the Society of chiropodists and Podiatrists.
She gained the qualification from Cardiff University in 1988 and went on to be employed by Nottingham Health Authority for two years.
She gained a further degree at Westminster in 1995 in Podiatric Medicine.
The valuable experience that she gained in employment allowed her to set up private practice in Essex.
She also set up a Podiatry Clinic in the medical department of the Ford's Dunton Technical Centre in Essex.
She is also a member of the Health and care Professions Council (formally known as State Registration).This is the only qualification that is recognized for employment in the National Health Service. The Health and care Professions Council (HCPC) is a regulatory body.
It is a legal requirement for certain health professionals to be registered.
Individuals registered by the HCPC are bound by strict codes of ethics and conduct. This includes Continual Professional Development.
Sushila has been treasurer for the south Essex branch of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists since 2000.
Sandra and Simone are receptionists at the Basildon Surgery and have both worked within the Practice and very closely with Sushila for over 3 years.
They are invaluable and caring members of the team especially as they both have a keen interest in the fitting and supply of shoes as well as being able to carry out footwear assessments.

Laura Hembling graduated from the University of London In 2013 with a first class degree. She is HCPC registered and works Full time for the National Health Service.
This has given her the experience to work with confidence within Private Practice.
Laura has an interest in the prevention and management of Diabetic foot complications and specialises in Diabetic foot checks whilst working in the NHS.
Laura joined the Basildon Chiropody, Podiatry and Footwear Centre in March 2013, is very popular with our patients and has been an invaluable part of the team.
Kelly is an NVQ qualified and insured beauty therapist as well as an aesthetic laser/Ipl practitioner.
kelly has undertaken the Core of knowledge training and VTCT NVQ level 4 in order to qualify in administering Laser/IPL treatments
she is also a lash artist as well as a nail technician
She has great enthusiasm and enjoys all aspects of her work and will often research new treatments available and will always seek advise if required from health professionals especially where the laser/Ipl treatments are being undertaken.
Her clients recommend her for her calm and relaxing manner.
